Arapaho Truths

St. Stephens students study filmmaking with Penn State professor.

St. Stephens Students learned film production techniques in preparation for the premiere of ‘Arapaho Truths,’ which was played a community event. Students from grades K-12 at St. Stephens learned about different types of movie making. Students learned three different styles which included a green screen, shadow puppetry and stop animation. With each of these styles, they re-told and recreated through film traditional Native American stories. They were taught by George Giglio, Director of ‘Arapaho Truths’ and Dr. William Diehl from Penn State University. Will was the education director. The film won 8 film festival awards and aired on PBS. More info at Moonstar Productions.
